Honeylands commenced its operation in 1995 as a family owned business. Chris Watkins and Helen Ninkie drew on their industry associations (commencing 1990) to establish the company and 'Honeylands Naturally' brand, developing a worldwide network of contacts. This has assisted them to deliver against their vision to be both a National and International supplier, meeting customer initiatives in the airline, hospitality, foodservice and healthcare sectors.

Food safety is paramount and Honeylands operates against an accredited HACCP programme in a purpose built manufacturing environment.
Certification includes:

  • New Zealand Food Safety Authority Approved Risk Management Programme
  • USFDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) Registration
  • New Zealand Food Safety Authority Registered Exporter

AssociationsHoneylands is an inaugural member of the Airline Catering Network (NZACN), created in 1989 [with support from the New Zealand Government] to focus specifically on supplying quality food and beverages to the airline catering industry internationally. NZACN provides customers with a comprehensive range of complimentary products under one umbrella.
